The Living Desert tour, developed by Tommy himself over several years, is a unique 4x4 adventure drive through the dunes outside Swakopmund. Just the dune drive (approximately 30 kms of dune-driving) is an unforgettable experience, but Tommy is also skilled at tracking and finding the living creatures: sidewinders, Palmato Geckoes, Namaqua Chameleons, FitzSimon's Burrowing Skinks, sand-diving lizards, scorpions, etc. Tommy will tell you all about the plant-life, insects and minerals as well, and you will experience a 'roaring' dune. The drive through the dunes takes you from the life-rich eastern side through to the Atlantic Ocean on the west. It is not just eco-aware and informative, but also fun, and kids are welcome. Plenty to see, experience and photograph!
